An enabling environment had been created by the State Government enabling Business Environment Council for businesses.

ICT sector currently contributed 11.27 per cent to the total nominal Gross Domestic Product in the second quarter of 2017. In order to increase the broadband penetration in Imo to 30 per cent by 2018, the state had developed a comprehensive state Broadband Plan.
